A gel-forming, absorbent, versatile alginate. High integrity for quick dressing changes. Offers gentle removal to protect fragile tissue.

Indications:

For wounds with moderate to heavy exudate, pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, trauma wounds, and dermal lesions.

Contraindications:

Not for use with surgical implantation or third-degree burns.

Application:

Pads – Moisten the wound with sterile saline and dry periwound skin. Apply the appropriate size dressing or trim to size with minimal periwound overlap. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing. 

Rope – Fluff for light packing. Loosely pack by fluffing and layering rope back and forth into wound site. Cover with a secondary dressing that should reach 1″ beyond the wound edge. 

Removal:

Remove secondary dressing and nongelled alginate dressing. Rinse away gel with sterile saline. If the dressing is dry, saturate with sterile saline for easier removal.
